Public Service Announcement: Prevent H1N1

We have pasted this poster as well as notices around the campus to inform and educate students and staff on the symptoms of Influenza A (H1N1) and what to do if they have those symptoms.

According to Ministy of Health, 61 new influenza cases – 37 imported and 24 locally transmitted – had been reported (as of 8am yesterday). Besides, out of the 574 people infected, 472 or 82.2% had recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Please do not panic if you suspect that you are suffering from Influenza symptoms, you should immediately seek treatment from doctor. As pointed out by Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, the recovery rate of Influenza A(H1N1) cases in Malaysia is very high, therefore the situation is very positive.

Therefore, just be extra careful if you have recently come back from another country, or have contact with those who came back from another country.
