A Special & Exclusive Visit To HMRT

40 TOC students and lecturers received a rare opportunity to visit the Honda Malaysia Racing Team (HMRT) as well as a guided tour around the Honda Malaysia manufacturing plant in Alor Gajah last week.

Upon arrival, students and staff were given a goodie bag, and were asked to put on the white Honda cap and mask for hygenic purpose.

When everyone is ready, students were divided into groups and were lead to the briefing room. The TOC team were greeted by Encik Rosidan Haron, Assistant Coordinator of HMRT , who gave a brief introductory notes on the history and achievements of HMRT.

Thereafter, TOC students were introduced to some of the members/crew from the HMRT. Besides being a fully local team, another uniqueness of HMRT is that all of its crew are selected employees from different branches of Honda Malaysia. Through this experience, these employees are able to enhance their skills and integrate it into their daily operation, thus increasing their productivity as well.

The highlight of the day for TOC students were undoubtedly witnessing the HMRT Car 27 in such close view and being able to get more information from HMRT personnel on how to check and tweak the car in preparation for the MME Race that took place last weekend.

DOES THIS REMINDS YOU OF TRANSFORMER?

After lunch, students also had the chance to see and experience how an automotive manufacturing plant functions.

This is the second consecutive year whereby TOC had this exclusive visit to HMRT, and it was a really informative and eye-opening experience for the 40 lucky students.
