Tips To Share #2: Pemandu Peka Perjalanan Selamat

This blog entry will be in Bahasa Melayu as the article was in that language as well. It is an article on car preparations before a long journey back to hometown, and this is especially for the Muslim friends as Hari Raya is just a month away.

So do read on!

*Minyak enjin - Periksa bahagian enjin.

*Bateri

*Bahagian lain bawah bonet

*Tayar

TOC in The Star Edu Guide

Today, there's an article about TOC in The Star Education Guide.

It's a full page article, and it's about TOC's graduation ceremony 2009.

Half a page of it was a photograph of the students from the respective graduating class, and it shows the student throwing their mortar board above after the ceremony.

The picture captures the essence of how happy and proud these students felt on their big day, a truly good shot I would say.

Here's the article, click on it to see the enlarge view or go grab yourself a copy of today's The Star newspaper.

A Special & Exclusive Visit To HMRT

40 TOC students and lecturers received a rare opportunity to visit the Honda Malaysia Racing Team (HMRT) as well as a guided tour around the Honda Malaysia manufacturing plant in Alor Gajah last week.

Upon arrival, students and staff were given a goodie bag, and were asked to put on the white Honda cap and mask for hygenic purpose.

When everyone is ready, students were divided into groups and were lead to the briefing room. The TOC team were greeted by Encik Rosidan Haron, Assistant Coordinator of HMRT , who gave a brief introductory notes on the history and achievements of HMRT.

Thereafter, TOC students were introduced to some of the members/crew from the HMRT. Besides being a fully local team, another uniqueness of HMRT is that all of its crew are selected employees from different branches of Honda Malaysia. Through this experience, these employees are able to enhance their skills and integrate it into their daily operation, thus increasing their productivity as well.

The highlight of the day for TOC students were undoubtedly witnessing the HMRT Car 27 in such close view and being able to get more information from HMRT personnel on how to check and tweak the car in preparation for the MME Race that took place last weekend.

DOES THIS REMINDS YOU OF TRANSFORMER?

After lunch, students also had the chance to see and experience how an automotive manufacturing plant functions.

This is the second consecutive year whereby TOC had this exclusive visit to HMRT, and it was a really informative and eye-opening experience for the 40 lucky students.

M-150 Speed Race Tournament

TOC students had a blast racing with each other as well as themselves when a new energy drink in the Malaysia market, M-150, came over to TOC to do its roadshow. M-150 originated from Thailand, where it has been one of the most popular energy drink in Thailand.

The M-150 truck was loaded with four race car simulations, complete with flat screen tv, steering wheel, gas and brake pedal, and a real car seat!

Students were curious when the truck opened up, and when they saw the race car simulation, they were brimming with excitement and eager to give it a try.

However, M-150 came with a mission. They are searching for the fastest driver around Malaysia, and the one with the fastest time at the end of their roadshow will be able to walk away with a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT! What an awesome prize!!

Throughout the day countless students tried to beat the existing best time holder, and some even attempted several times, but to no avail.

When there seems to be no hope for TOC in beating the best time holder, a sudden scream followed by an announcement from the organizer resulted everyone to jump with joy.
TOC has a winner! One that beat the existing best time! And this hero is.........................

AMIR FARHAN!!

Congratulations!!

He has managed to beat the existing time after several attempts, in turn, he set his own record as well.

Now, let's all keep our fingers crossed that no one will beat his time and he would proceed to win the Lancer! Woo--hoo!

Well done, Amir! You have made us proud!!
